Summary statement: The cornerstone of all education is character education. Character education permeates everything that happens within a school, and is the foundation around which all relationships (e.g. teacher and student, student and student) are based. Any learning vision developed by a school division must focus on the whole student, and deliver all learning using holistic approaches. Lakeshore School Division must actively incorporate whole student approaches into all aspects of school life, from instruction, to classroom management, to extracurricular activities, and so forth. This is necessary for the schools in Lakeshore SD to be excellent, equitable and inclusive, and safe and caring.
